West Boca has a robust Brazilian population and this restaurant is a community favorite and one of my personal favorites for lunch. You will hear mostly Portuguese spoken, but the super-friendly servers are all bi-lingual Your hosts, Marcos and Ivanette offer a sumptuous buffet of fresh cut vegetables and salads, a steam table and chaffing dishes of various vegetables, meat, fish, and fowl entrees, and, of course, the best feature, the assorted grilled and skewered meats, carved at your request. Picanha (pronounced pee-CAHN-yah), as the restaurant's name indicates, is the specialty, a special cut of beef, and there is also flank steak, chicken wrapped in bacon, linguista sausage, sirloin, and more. Your plate is weighed and you are charged a flat, by-the-pound price, very reasonable with such a wide selection. Desserts, coffees, soft drinks and a full bar compliment the meal. I have been a customer for many years and the fare is consistently good.
